Cake Cutting Guide
Follow these simple steps to get the perfect slice every time:
Step 1: Steady the Cake
Hold a cake board firmly against the side of your cake — this will help support the slice while you cut.
Take a sharp knife and make a clean slice down the side of the cake.
Step 2: Catch & Cut
Let the slice gently fall onto the board.
Then, cut down vertically to separate it from the cake.
Step 3: Size It Up
Cut the slice again to your preferred serving size — depending on how generous you’re feeling!
Step 4: Time to Enjoy!
Serve and enjoy your delicious cake!
Don’t forget to wrap any leftovers to keep them fresh for later.
Cake care Guide
Please read through our care instructions to help keep your cake looking and tasting its best.
Transporting Your Cake
-
Always carry the cake box from the bottom — never from the top or sides, as this can damage the cake.
-
Keep your car’s air conditioning on before and during transport to prevent the cake from getting too warm.
-
The best place for your cake is on the passenger-side footwell — it’s flat and helps prevent movement.
-
If you have a passenger, slide the seat all the way back to give your cake enough space.
-
Drive carefully! Avoid sharp turns, sudden stops, and bumps. Keep your cake level at all times.
Storing Your Cake
-
Once home, store the cake in its box in the fridge.
-
When displaying, keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
-
Before serving, take your cake out of the fridge 1–2 hours in advance to allow it to come to room temperature.
-
Remove any decorations or toppers before cutting.
Leftovers & Freezing
-
Wrap any leftover cake in cling film and store it in a cool, dry room.
-
You can also freeze leftovers for up to 3 months — perfect for a sweet treat later!
